Upcycle your coffee boxes with our sustainable craft activity

Upcycle your coffee boxes with our sustainable craft activity

If entertaining the kids and tripling your coffee intake in the name of arts and crafts is your idea of a good time, look no further!

Let’s get crafting!

If crafts that are sustainable (hello recycling old packaging!), will keep the kids entertained for hours, and involve purchasing more coffee in the name of craft materials - look no further!

Our super cool and super DIY activity is sure to keep the kids out of your hair all school holidays, and totes justifies your Pod & Parcel addiction.

What you’ll need:

• Glue

• Paint (the more colors, the better 🌈)

• Googly eyes

• Pod & Parcel boxes

• Magnets

• A stick or pole

• Toilet rolls

• Paper clips

• String

• Pegs (optional)

The how-to:

Step 1: Cut the boxes into the shape of fishtails, with one side the same size as a toilet roll. Glue the smaller size to the toilet roll and leave to dry.

Step 2: Now this is the fun part - it’s time to channel your inner Van Gogh and paint, paint, paint!

Step 3: Add your googly eyes and any other super stylish fish accessories in your craft kit (pom-poms, we see you 💁‍♀️)

Step 4: Tie the string to one end of the stick. Add the magnet on the other end of the string by either gluing the magnet on, or pegging it to the string.

Step 5: With your pile of dazzling fish at the ready, it’s time to go fishing!

Here at Pod & Parcel, we simply adore a crafting session that combines sustainability and coffee - so be sure to keep the kids out of your hair and justify all the empty boxes of coffee with our super cute DIY fishing game!
