Nothing says summer lovin’ like a warm peach cobbler fresh from the oven. Juicy, golden peaches are in peak season, which means fewer food miles and more flavor (and fewer excuses not to bake). So let’s embrace those ripe beauties with a simple, mouthwatering recipe that’s got a sprinkle of sustainability - and a whole lot of Pod & Parcel personality.
The Peachy Line-Up:
• 1 cup all-purpose flour
• 1 cup sugar
• 2 tsp baking powder
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 1 cup milk
• 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
• 4 cups fresh sliced peaches (ripe and ready, skin on or off – your call)
• 1/2 cup sugar (for the peaches)
• 1 tbsp lemon juice
• 1/2 tsp cinnamon (bonus points for spice)
How to Cobbler Like a Pro:
1. Preheat & butter up
Set your oven to 375°F. Melt the butter in your baking dish and swirl it around. (This is your cobbler’s catwalk.)
2. Batter up
Whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and milk. Pour into the buttery dish - no stirring! (Seriously, don’t.)
3. Peachy keen
Toss peaches with sugar, lemon juice, and cinnamon. Spoon on top. Still no stirring - let the swirls do their thing.
4. Bake to golden glory
Pop it in the oven for 40-45 mins until golden, bubbling, and making your house smell unreal.
5. Dish & sip
Serve warm (ice cream optional, but encouraged). Pair with Munro - the pod that plays nice with peaches. ☕🍑
Why This Cobbler’s Kind to the Planet
Cooking with in-season produce like peaches means fewer emissions, better flavor, and a fresher experience overall. Local fruit = less travel time = more love for the planet (and your tastebuds).
